  1.                U.S.A. Software License Agreement 
  2.  
  3. NOTE:  This form of Software License Agreement applies only to
  4. products purchased in the United States.  If you have purchased
  5. this product in any other country, please refer to the applicable
  6. form of Software License Agreement enclosed in the package
  7. containing this software.
  8.  
  9. Grant of Rights
  10. This software program, including any documentation and media
  11. (Software) is protected by copyright laws and international treaty
  12. and is a proprietary product of WordPerfect Corporation (WPCorp).
  13.  
  14. WPCorp grants you the right to use the Software in the quantity and
  15. on the platform(s) indicated on the enclosed Certificate of
  16. License.  If this Software is an upgrade from a previous version of
  17. a WPCorp software product, you may utilize either the current or
  18. prior version of the Software, but never both versions at the same
  19. time.  This Agreement supersedes any prior version license and
  20. governs your use of the Software.
  21.  
  22. For a single-user computer or workstation not attached to a
  23. network, or for a network server,  the Software is considered "in
  24. use" when any portion of the Software is either loaded in memory or
  25. virtual memory (Loaded) or stored on a hard disk or other storage
  26. device (Stored).  For single-user computers or workstations
  27. attached to a network, the quantity of the Software "in use" is
  28. considered to be the greater of (i) the maximum number of computers
  29. on which the Software is Loaded at any one time, or (ii) the
  30. maximum number of computers on which the Software is Stored.

  32. On a multi-user computer, the quantity of Software "in use" is
  33. considered to be the maximum number of sessions executed at any one
  34. time.
  35.  
  36. You may make copies of the written documentation which accompanies
  37. the Software in support of your authorized use of this WPCorp
  38. software product.  You may also make an archival copy of the
  39. Software for each License obtained under this Agreement.
  40.  
  41. Restrictions
  42. You may not rent or lease the Software without the written
  43. permission of WPCorp.  You may not decompile, disassemble, reverse
  44. engineer, copy, create a derivative work, or otherwise use the
  45. Software except as stated in this Agreement.  Irrespective of the
  46. number of sets of media included with the Software, you are granted
  47. the right to use the Software only in the quantity indicated on the
  48. Certificate of License.  Certain qualifications may apply to the
  49. purchase of this Software; when present, they are printed on the
  50. Software package and form part of this Agreement.
  51.  
  52. Home or Portable Computer Provision
  53. You are authorized to use a copy of the Software on a home or
  54. portable computer, as long as the extra copy is never Loaded at the
  55. same time as the Software is Loaded on the primary computer on
  56. which you use the Software.
  57.  
  58. If you have purchased this Software under an education or
  59. charitable institution pricing program, you may not create an extra
  60. copy of the Software under this provision for use on a home or
  61. portable computer.
  62.  
  63. Limited Warranty/Limitation of Liability
  64. This Software is licensed AS IS.  If for any reason you are
  65. dissatisfied with the Software, return the product package, with
  66. proof of purchase, to your reseller within 90 days of the date of
  67. purchase for a full refund.  If any materials or media in this
  68. package are defective, return them to WPCorp within 90 days of the
  69. date of purchase, and they will be replaced at no charge.

  71. This warranty is in lieu of any other warranties, express or
  72. implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and
  73. fitness for a particular purpose.  In no event will WPCorp be
  74. liable to you for damages, including any loss of profits, lost
  75. savings, or other incidental or consequential damages arising out
  76. of your use of or inability to use the Software, even if WPCorp or
  77. an authorized WPCorp representative has been advised of the
  78. possibility of such damages.
  79.  
  80. Some jurisdictions do not allow excluding or limiting implied
  81. warranties or limiting liability for incidental or consequential
  82. damages, and some jurisdictions have special statutory consumer
  83. protection provisions which may supercede this limitation.  As a
  84. result, this limitation of liability may not apply to you if
  85. prohibited by the laws of your jurisdiction.
  86.  
  87. Customer Support
  88. WPCorp will attempt to answer your technical support requests
  89. concerning the Software; however, this service is offered on a
  90. reasonable efforts basis only, and WPCorp may not be able to
  91. resolve every support request.  WPCorp supports the Software only
  92. if it is used under conditions and on operating systems for which
  93. the Software is designed.
  94.  
  95. General
  96. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unlawful, void,
  97. or unenforceable, then that provision shall be severed from this
  98. Agreement and will not affect the validity and enforceability of
  99. any of the remaining provisions.  This Agreement shall be governed
  100. by the laws of the State of Utah.
  101.  
  102. US Government Restricted Rights
  103. The Software and any accompanying materials are provided with
  104. Restricted Rights.  Use, duplication, or disclosure by the
  105. Government is subject to restrictions as set forth in subparagraph
  106. (c)(1)(ii) of The Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software
  107. clause at DFARS 252.227-7013, or subparagraphs (c)(1) and (2) of
  108. the Commercial Computer Software--Restricted Rights at 48 CFR
  109. 52.227-19, as applicable.  Contractor/manufacturer is WordPerfect
  110. Corporation, at the address below.
